Summary:
Under
the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Generalist
will be a key member of the HR Department by providing a full
range of support for the department in all functional areas, including
recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits administration,
worker's compensation, reporting, training and safety. The HR
Generalist will have daily contact and interface with the management
team to coordinate various HR initiatives.
Additional
special assignments will be requested, as the Human Resources
department becomes an essential partner in the future growth of
JXE.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle recruitment process
to attract qualified candidates to vacant positions. Manage requisitions;
develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies;
prescreen candidates via telephone and/or personal interviews;
manage standard employment processing and background checks, including
references, skills assessments, pre-employment testing, etc.;
ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations;
promote and maintain fair employment practices.
Administer Associate performance evaluation
process; present reports to management.
Process employment status changes,
including transfers, promotions, terminations, etc.
Oversee benefits administration for
eligible employees, including processing enrollments, status changes,
terminations and COBRA administration.
Manage Worker's Compensation administration
and OSHA reporting and compliance.
Provide a full range of support to
Associates in HR and benefit functions, addressing general questions
regarding HR forms, policies and procedures.
Manage drug testing program, ensuring
compliance with DOT regulations.
Coordinate and conduct monthly new
Associate orientation program.
Assist HR Manager with various administrative
duties related to maintaining all HR functions.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's degree and two
years of related experience in a service or manufacturing industry
preferred.
Excellent communication skills at
all levels of the organization are essential.
Ability to work independently, demonstrate
initiative, prioritize work and handle multiple demands to meet
tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of state and federal
employment laws.
Intermediate computer skills are required.
