Australians know sunglasses... And Down-Under, they swear by Spotters Shades. Follow the directions and cautions below to get the maximum enjoyment from your sunglasses.
Failure to follow these Care Tips can result in damage that is not covered under this Warranty. Replacement parts, labor and processing fees plus return shipping charges may be required for any service not covered by the Warranty.
Follow These Care Tips:
* Rinse grit and salt from lenses before wiping clean.
* Use enclosed cleaning cloth or other soft cloth.
* Dry sunglasses completely before putting away.
* Always store Spotters in their protective case.
* Never leave Spotters on the dashboard of a car or boat.
Use: Wear in daylight conditions only. Spotters are not safety glasses. Regardless of lens materials, never use sunglasses in place of protective eyewear.
Cleaning: Be sure to rinse salt, sand and other grit from the lenses before wiping them clean. Always use the cleaning cloth provided or other soft cloth. A cleaning solution specifically designed for eyewear is recommended.
Storage: Always store Spotters in their case. Be sure that your Spotters are completely dry before putting them away.
Hints & Tips: Lens fogging in hot weather is caused by lack of air circulation on the back side of the lens. If possible, choose frames that do not form a seal against your eye sockets and cheeks. Fogging in cold weather is the result of the temperature difference between the back of the lens near your face and the outside ambient temperature. Use an anti-fog cleaning solution or anti-fog cleaning cloth on both the back and front of the lenses.
Caution: NEVER leave your sunglasses on the dashboard of your car or boat - intense heat on dashboards can exceed 160 degrees and destroy the micro-thin polarizing film. Never allow your sunglasses to soak in liquids for extended periods of time. Polarized glass lenses are constructed of layers, and if left to soak, water molecules can enter the microscopic spaces at the edges of the layers and cause the glass to separate. Wetting in normal use conditions such as fishing, boating, etc. will not harm your Spotters.
Warranty: Spotters Shades are guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months from the date of purchase. Warranty valid only with proof of purchase from an Authorized Spotters Dealer. Scratched or broken lenses, and twisted, bent, snapped or warped frames are the result of misuse of the products and not manufacturer's defects and are not covered under this Warranty. Alteration of Spotters sunglasses voids this Warranty.
To make a Warranty claim (USA Only):
* Package damaged product with padding in a sturdy box.
* Include the following information in the package:
Your full name - mailing address - daytime telephone - email - copy of the dated cash register receipt from an Authorized Spotters Dealer - description of the problem or services you request.
* Spotters recommends that you use both insurance and
tracking options on your shipment.
